Returns and warranty
Returns, statutory warranty and international purchases. Last updated: 12 June 2026.
1. No general right of withdrawal
Swiss law does not provide a general right of withdrawal for online purchases. Orders are therefore binding once confirmed. Mandatory consumer rights in your country of habitual residence — for example withdrawal rights for consumers in the European Union, where they apply to your purchase — remain unaffected.
2. Statutory warranty
We warrant that delivered goods are free of defects that existed at the transfer of risk. The warranty period is two years from delivery.
In the event of a justified defect, we will first repair the item or replace it with a defect-free one. If repair or replacement fails or is not possible, you are entitled to a price reduction or to rescind the purchase in accordance with statutory law.
We do not offer a voluntary extended warranty beyond the statutory warranty.
3. Inspection and notification
Please inspect goods upon receipt. Report transport damage and obvious defects promptly to info@swiss-sailplane.ch, stating your order number and including a short description and, where possible, photos.
4. Return procedure
Always contact us before returning anything; we will confirm the return address and the next steps. Unannounced returns can delay processing.
For justified warranty claims we bear the cost of the return and of the replacement shipment within Switzerland and will coordinate the most sensible route with international customers. If a claim turns out to be unjustified, the customer bears the shipping costs.
5. Exclusions
The warranty does not cover normal wear and tear, damage from improper use, storage or maintenance, unauthorised modifications or repairs, or damage caused by external factors after the transfer of risk.
6. International purchases
Exports are sold without Swiss VAT. Customs duties and import charges in the destination country are borne by the customer. For warranty returns from abroad, please mark the shipment as returned goods so that no duties are levied twice; we will assist with the paperwork.
