Learn cross-country soaring — from knowledge to skill
Two formats, one goal: flying cross-country safely and efficiently. Hands-on in the aircraft, or as a theory workshop for pilots and clubs.
Led by Yves Gerster — cross-country soaring from daily Alpine practice, not from the textbook. Both formats adapt to your level: from a first cross-country to targeted performance gains.

Practical
Cross-Country Course
For pilots who want to fly their first cross-countries or raise their performance deliberately.
We plan together, read the weather and fly — Jura, Alps or Vosges depending on conditions. Route selection, pre-flight decisions, efficient climbing and gliding, working convergence and ridge wind: all on a real flying day, at your level.
- Joint flight preparation and weather briefing
- Cross-country in a two-seater or accompanied in your own glider
- Debrief with concrete next steps
- Format
- Individual — in a two-seater or accompanied in your own glider; scope by arrangement.
- Price
- Priced by programme and effort — you receive a quote.

Theory
Cross-Country Performance Workshop
For pilot groups and clubs that want to build cross-country performance on the ground.

- Weather models and the day's thermodynamic structure
- Route planning and area briefings (Jura, Alps, Vosges)
- Recognising and using convergence
